Crowne plaza in Melbourne

The iconic Crowne Plaza Melbourne has played an important role in Melbourne’s rich cultural heritage for three decades.

The hotel was unveiled as the city opened for visitors in December.

Crowne Plaza’s refurbishment welcomes guests to a new era locally. It features design marks, innovative technology, and functionality that are at the core of the brand’s global transformation.

Crowne Plaza Melbourne’s design celebrates the bold use of metal, timber, stone, and glass. This brings its brutalist-style and industrial heritage into a new era.

The ‘New Modern” concept is proudly displayed within the architectural façade that is innately recognized along the Yarra River. It will continue to be celebrated for its unparalleled views of Melbourne’s sprawling skyline.

The hotel has 30 additional rooms and is one of Melbourne’s most prominent single-apartment towers, boasting 432 guestrooms.

The new transformation features a range of brand-new guest facilities, including a rooftop pool and a 24-hour wellness center with natural light that overlooks the Atrium. It also includes TechnoGym equipment and floor space to accommodate aspiring yogis.

New ‘Go-To Hubs’ provide flexible workspaces that encourage productivity. They are enabled by seamless connectivity and the latest technology.

The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi in public areas and USB outlets so guests can stay connected. This allows modern travelers to work anywhere.

With the opening of Pearl Riverfront, a 1,500 square metre venue for events, conferences and meetings will be more important than ever.

This venue is located right on the Yarra River and offers six studios interconnected and four additional bespoke boardrooms, meeting rooms, and a pre-function lounge. It caters for special events, residential conferences, and meetings of up to 700 people.

Encore Technologies, a partner in audio visual and sound technology, has provided the new, modern spaces with an Event Staging Manager.

Yugo Melbourne redefines hotel dining. Guests can enjoy a unique culinary experience that is rooted in storytelling, and escape the mundane. Yugo offers something different with a menu created by Matthew Butcher.

This menu is a combination of Asian flavors and French techniques. Enjoy a Yum Cha lunch on Sundays with specially designed trolleys. Also, the Cube – Yugo’s private dining area; a glass box that freezes at the touch of a button allows for an immersive experience.

Dive Bar is a nod to the old-school dive bars in New York’s East Village. It’s dimly lit and covered with neon, it’s the perfect place to socialize and dance into the early hours and enjoy the guest-controlled DJ jukebox.

The eco-friendly and healthy cafe Pow Wow has a California-inspired design and a relaxed, cozy vibe. Before heading out on the day, guests can enjoy the perfect cup Melbourne coffee here.

Crowne Plaza Melbourne was designed to provide guest service delivery and contactless arrivals. The new way of traveling will be embodied in your next stay.
